It's great to be back at Paia, after a long break. I started working in PAiA's factory back in the 1970s as a technician. It was a terrific job — plus I could get paid in kits! More importantly, my experiences with PAiA provided opportunities and direction I might never have found otherwise. Since then, I've lived the life of a wandering technologist but I've always stayed a part of PAiA's extended family.
When I first heard John was ill, I began planning with him and Linda Kay to implement their ideas for PAiA's future. The changes you can see today are some of our first steps toward realizing that vision.
One of the things we're doing is opening a second office in Austin to do order processing, packing and some of the design work. As we network our offices together, we're updating our telephone, IT and CAD systems, our purchasing, shipping, CRS, Internet and web operations, and a lot of other things. We're enjoying this opportunity to take a fresh look at everything, to improve and adjust what we do to make everything work even better.
My new job here will be general management and also design. We've begun working on many new ideas which complement and extend our product line. Scott Lee and I are looking forward to hearing from and working with you to make certain that we continue to meet your needs. Linda Kay will take advantage of having the extra help around and kick back some.
My early experiences as a customer and employee of PAiA set me on a path of exploration - in signal processing, electronic design and product development - that has brought me great joy. All of us at PAiA hope to bring you, as customers and friends, the same happiness and satisfaction that rewards us here daily.
As we build into the future, evolving and growing, we continue to love what we do because one thing remains as true as ever: PAiA and her community of artists and creative friends are Way Cool. Thanks for joining with us.
With best regards from the entire staff of PAiA,
